A proper oven clean takes time. Heavily neglected ovens take longer. We give a time estimate when you book.

The four-step oven process.

Every oven clean follows the same four steps. This is what gets a 20-year-old oven looking practically new. Not a spray-and-wipe, a proper clean.

STEP 01

Clear the debris.

Racks pulled out. Loose and caked debris manually removed by hand before any product touches the oven. Dry clearing first, so the cleaner reaches what's actually stuck, not just the surface layer.

Prep · manual clearing
STEP 02

Apply the cleaner.

Low-fume professional oven and grill cleaner applied to the cavity walls, ceiling, floor, and door. Not the heavy caustic stuff, but not a grocery-store spray either. A proper formula that actually works on baked-on carbon.

Apply · professional formula
STEP 03

Scrub & elbow grease.

This is where most of the time goes. Every stuck-on spot worked by hand: walls, ceiling, door channels, racks. Scrubbed and attacked until it's actually clean, not just wiped. Stubborn spots get hit again and again.

Scrub · real elbow grease
STEP 04

Rinse out completely.

Sprayed down with a lot of water and rinsed out thoroughly until nothing is left inside. Racks reinstalled. By the time we leave, that oven is completely clean and ready to cook in immediately. No waiting, no burn-off cycle.

Rinse · ready right away

Why professional.

Oven self-clean cycles smoke out your home and leave ash behind. Hardware-store sprays use caustic chemicals and still leave you scrubbing for hours. This is neither of those things.

Real elbow greaseA product alone won't do it. Every stuck-on spot is worked by hand until it's actually gone. Not just wiped over.
Racks & grates includedPulled out and cleaned separately. Not wiped around while they're still inside.
Fully rinsed with waterSprayed down and rinsed out completely. No product residue left. Ready to cook in immediately when we leave.
Low-fume formulaProfessional oven and grill cleaner, not the eye-watering caustic stuff. No smoke, no lingering smell.

Honest notes.

A few things we tell every client up front, so there are no surprises on the day.

Severely neglected ovens.

Ovens that haven't been cleaned in many years, with heavy carbonised build-up on every surface, may require extra time and an additional charge. We'll assess on arrival and quote before proceeding. No mid-job surprises.

Heavy carbon buildup.

Years of baked-on carbon can be fully removed, but it takes real time. Severely neglected ovens get multiple passes and may take longer than a standard clean. We give you an honest time estimate before we start.

Gas vs. electric.

We clean both. Gas stoves cost a bit more because the burner grates require a lot of detailed work to clean properly. Self-clean feature damage (warped enamel, cracked seals) is not something we can fix, but we'll flag it if we see it.

Ready to cook in immediately.

We use a low-fume oven and grill cleaner, not a food-safe product. But by the time we're done, it is: the oven gets sprayed down with a lot of water and rinsed out completely. No residue, no burn-off cycle. Use it as soon as we leave.

Common questions.

Everything people ask before booking oven cleaning.

How much does oven cleaning cost in St. Catharines?
Oven cleaning starts at $119. Price depends on condition and what is included. We quote honestly on the call before we start.
How long does professional oven cleaning take?
A proper oven clean takes 2 to 3 hours, sometimes more for heavily neglected ovens. It's not a quick job. Debris gets cleared manually first, then cleaner applied, then everything scrubbed by hand and fully rinsed. We give you a realistic time estimate when you book.
Is the oven safe to use right after cleaning?
Yes, immediately. We use a low-fume professional oven and grill cleaner, not a food-safe product. But by the time we're done, it is: the oven gets sprayed down with a lot of water and rinsed out completely so no product stays inside. No residue, no burn-off cycle needed. You can use it as soon as we leave.
Can you clean a BBQ or range hood at the same visit?
Yes. BBQ cleaning and range hood cleaning are popular add-ons at the same visit. Just mention what you need when you book and we'll scope everything on the call. Combining services saves time and often makes sense to do together.
How often should an oven be professionally cleaned?
Every 6–12 months for regular home cooks. Heavy users, or households that roast and bake frequently, may want it every 3–6 months. Annual is a good minimum for most people. The longer you leave it, the harder and more expensive the clean becomes.
